Anam Cara

Anam Cara

~~~♥~~~
A princess in a castle afar,
Gazing from a lofty pane,
Inching closer to a rusted bar,
She watches the farmer harvest grain.
A tedious chore with all his might,
Filling days with hope of a future,
Whispering wishes and dreams through night,
He holds tight a promise in suture.
Years of slight and stolen moments pass,
Ensuring visions and hopeful whirls,
His beloved and eternal lass,
At the boat he waits for chrism curls.
The moonlight strikes a breathy glimmer,
A coy smile and a spring of laughter,
Water lapping in waves of shimmer,
Anam cara united hereafter.
